Home/EU Students

Excellence Scholarships

We want to ensure that the best students can pursue their studies in physics regardless of background. For UK and EU students who achieve grades of AAA at A-level (or equivalent) and above for all of our undergraduate programmes. Value is £3,000 per year of study.

Hemera Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to support a student who wishes to gain a physics degree, but may face barriers to higher education. This scholarship will cover all undergraduate fees, plus a contribution of up to £9,000 towards living expenses. Eligibility criteria are broad and we will consider all applications on a case by case basis.

International Students

International Excellence Scholarship

External Funding Sources

The Ogden Trust fund undergraduate study for eligible students. Visit their website for details. 

Juno Champion

The school holds Juno Champion status, the highest award of this IoP scheme to recognise and reward departments that can demonstrate they have taken action to address the under-representation of women in university physics and to encourage better practice for both women and men.
