Making an application

Applications for all undergraduate programmes should be made through UCAS. All UK offer holders will be expected to attend one of our compulsory offer holder visit days. Alternate arrangements will be made for EU and overseas students.

Entry requirements

Any offer of a place the School makes is likely to be conditional on your achievement of the School's entry requirements. We will base our offer making mostly on your predicted grades, or achieved grades if you have already completed your exams at the time of application. We will also take into account your UCAS personal statement and academic reference, especially in situations where performance in your final exams is different to expectations.

You will find more information on applying through UCAS on our general admissions pages.

We organise a wide range of taster events and open days throughout the year. You can find more details about these on the visit or contact us page.

Juno Champion

The school holds Juno Champion status, the highest award of this IoP scheme to recognise and reward departments that can demonstrate they have taken action to address the under-representation of women in university physics and to encourage better practice for both women and men.
