Changing an SEFP computer ID to a Physics one

Students who enter Physics from the SEFP usually keep their SEFP Student Computer ID (EFnnnnn) throughout the rest of their three or four years. This has caused problems for some students who are unable to access Physics programs or find access to their files is very slow.

There is an arrangement with Computing Services that students entering Physics from the SEFP or who have other problems with their computer ID, can change it to a Physics (APnnnnn) ID. In order to do this you need to have this authorised by Dr. F. di Lodovico who will give you a form to take to Computing Services to request the change. Do not go directly to Computing Services as they will not do anything until they get a signed form from Physics.

Juno Champion

The school holds Juno Champion status, the highest award of this IoP scheme to recognise and reward departments that can demonstrate they have taken action to address the under-representation of women in university physics and to encourage better practice for both women and men.
