QM Library: General Information

All students should familiarise themselves with the Library and its services and regulations. This is best done by browsing on the Library web site.

Here you will find all the information you need on opening hours, regulations and the extensive services provided, you may also check and renew your loans, and search the library catalogues on-line.

Fresher’s should also make sure they take a library tour some time during their first  four weeks in College. Information about drop-in tours of the Mile End Library can be found on the web site.

The library is open during term time weekdays from 08.00 to 24.00, and Saturdays  and Sundays 13.00 to  20.00; vacation and Bank Holiday opening varies - consult the library web site for details.

Science books and periodicals are mainly located on the first floor of the Mile End Library, Multiple copies of course text books are available to be borrowed for either one week or one day loan, and they are located in the Teaching Collection on the ground floor of the Library.   Students are urged to make full use of the library facilities in their studies, particularly in doing coursework and projects.
