Thursday 30 March 8:30 pm (approx.) Jazz meets physics
Venue: The Ram Jam Club, Kingston
Dr Peter Grimley of the School of Physics and Astronomy's Outreach and Engagement team will be joining members of the band Partikel for an evening of jazz and physics. He will be giving a talk entitled "Some Partikel Physiks: what things are (or might be) made of".
Tickets will be on sale at the door from about 7:30 pm.
Tuesday 4 April 6:00 - 9:00 pm Stargazing at Queen Mary
Venue: Queen Mary University Mile End campus
Join astronomers from the School of Physics and Astronomy for an evening of astronomical entertainment. There will be talks, exhibits, demonstrations — and, weather permitting, a chance to view the skies through some of our telescopes on the lawn.

The School of Physics and Astronomy is very pleased to welcome Queen Mary alumna Prof. Rosemary Wyse of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University in the United States. Prof. Wyse has research interests in galaxy formation, composition and evolution and she will be in London to receive the 2016 Brouwer Award of the American Astronomical Society's Division on Dynamical Astronomy, which is holding a meeting in QMUL between 11 and 15 June.
